First, the fuel tanker bulk volume(bulk volume=effective volume+ ullage)
The elliptic tanker: the volume=the length*width*height*0.785（the elliptic tanker area*length）
The round square tanker: the tanker length*width*height*0.852
Second, the effective volume of fuel tanker truck
- when calculating the volume, we also need to calculate the meteorological space (ullage), usually 3 percent. (QC/T 653 <> the meteorological space is called capacity expansion, which is not lower than 3 percent of the rated capacity(volume), and also not higher than 10% of the rated capacity.)
- If it is the refueling truck, the last outcome should minus the space of fuel dispenser(actually the fuel dispenser is about 0.9cbm)
Remark: the above calculation method is just for your reference, not the exact volume; also it can be calculating the actual tanker volume.
